Local Partners

The LSBDC Northwest Central Region partners with local organizations including economic development agencies, chambers of commerce, municipalities, and other community groups to provide counseling and training to entrepreneurs and small businesses in Northwest and Central Louisiana.

North Louisiana Economic Partnership
The North Louisiana Economic Partnership (NLEP) is a non-profit economic development marketing organization promoting 14 parishes of North Louisiana as a desirable and profitable business location. The NLEP and its many partners work with both existing companies and prospective employers to encourage incremental capital investment and job creation as a way to build a strong and thriving economy.
The mission of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce is to promote economic prosperity, serve as a business advocate, and celebrate the achievements of Northwest Louisiana.
The primary mission of the Northwest Louisiana Government Procurement Center is to increase the number of federal, state, and local government contract award dollars being awarded to businesses located in our region of the state, thereby creating and retaining jobs.
Bossier Chamber of Commerce
The Bossier Chamber of Commerce 
A private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote growth and development within the communities of Bossier Parish and Shreveport.
CoHabitat is a new kind of work environment that encourages people who might normally work independently from home or a café to join a community of like minds.
Located on Shreveport’s historic riverfront at 610 Commerce Street downtown, CoHabitat provides high-speed Wi-Fi, locally-brewed coffee, conference room space, outdoor seating, and great conversation.
InterTech Science Park is an 800-acre urban science and technology park located in Shreveport , Louisiana USA , and sponsored by the Biomedical Research Foundation of Northwest Louisiana. InterTech provides its tenants with access to academic facilities, researchers, core equipment laboratories, animal care, multi-tenant wet lab and office space, land for building, venture capital, business planning assistance and financial incentives.
CERT, the Consortium for Education, Research, and Technology, serves as the intermediary- the convener and facilitator-that links the five Louisiana post-secondary systems with industry to support workforce development, technology transfer, and economic development in the 22-parish region in North Louisiana.
The mission of the African American Chamber of Commerce is to create an environment conducive to economic empowerment for small businesses, African-American owned businesses and the community at-large, resulting in socioeconomic growth.
The City of Shreveport’s Fair Share Program seeks to enforce the City’s policy of providing and ensuring contracting/purchasing opportunities for small and economically disadvantaged businesses.
The Metro/Regional Business Incubator is a business development project of The Coordinating & Development Corporation (CDC), an economic development organization serving ten parishes in Northwest Louisiana, eight counties in Northeast Texas, and four counties in Southwest Arkansas.
The Center for Business and Economic Research at Louisiana State University Shreveport services as the central source for economic research for new business recruitment and existing business expansion for the Northwest Louisiana region.  CBER maintains a database of local and regional economic indicators, updated monthly.
Northwestern State University Child and Family Network is a part of the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, in the College of Science and Technology of NSU. Child and Family Network is a multifaceted program providing services for parents and children, child care center caregivers and directors, family child care home providers, and employers in a 21 parish area throughout Central and Northwest Louisiana.
The Minden-South Webster Chamber of Commerce encourages economic growth in the Minden-South Webster Parish area in Northwest Louisiana.
The Springhill-North Webster Chamber of Commerce works continuously for growth of the Springhill, Cullen, Cotton Valley, Sarepta, Shongaloo, North Webster Parish, and Northwest Louisiana, business expansion and population increase.
The DeSoto Parish Chamber is a non-profit organization that operates on membership investments and dollars generated from business-related programs. The works closely with various economic development groups throughout the parish to promote economic development.
The Chamber of Commerce promotes, assists and encourages the advancement of the material prosperity and commercial, industrial and civic progress of Homer, Haynesville and the entire community.
The Arcadia/Bienville Parish Chamber of Commerce Office is located in the Arcadia Depot Museum, a prime downtown location that immediately gains charm from the local historic surroundings. It works for the growth of towns and communities in Bienville Parish.
Located on the north side of the Louisiana Tech campus, The Louisiana Tech Enterprise Center (LaTEC) houses the Louisiana Tech Technology Incubator (LTTI) and the Technology Business Development Center (TBDC).  LaTEC is designed to facilitate and promote the growth of new and existing ventures of the innovation enterprise in the I-20 corridor of north Louisiana.
The Enterprise Center’s incubation space and services focus on early-stage technology companies with a connection to Louisiana Tech University. In addition, the outreach activities and services of LaTEC, primarily through the TBDC, serve clients based geographic location (or prospective location) and business type.
The SUSLA Small, Women & Minority-Owned (SWMO) Business Incubator is located across from Southern University Shreveport’s campus at Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. SWMO assists business in obtaining financing, networking with other entrepreneurs, flexible space and leases and other business support and technical assistance services.
The Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce represents the needs of the business community and has evolved into a multi-disciplinary membership service organization and sales and public relations agency representing not only Ruston but all of Lincoln Parish.
