The Louisiana Small Business Development Center (LSBDC) has partnered with Cox Business and Inc. Magazine for the “Get Started Louisiana” business forum and pitch competition at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans, on Wednesday, March 22, a day where the LSBDC will also celebrate #SBDCDay.
The event will feature the state’s hottest business ideas, and entrepreneurs and the public are able to attend at no cost.
Get Started Louisiana is part of New Orleans Entrepreneur Week (NOEW), presented by Iberia Bank, a week-long festival taking place March 19 – 24. To learn more about NOEW and register to attend, visit http://noew.org/.
Also, on March 22 the LSBDC will join America’s SBDCs across the nation to celebrate Small Business Development Center Day. SBDC Day is a national, collective proclamation of the success and impact America’s SBDC have across the nation in economic development and the small businesses community.
Start-ups, entrepreneurs, and small business owners in Louisiana are invited to apply to Get Started Louisiana for a chance to demonstrate their savvy business idea and get feedback from a panel of four judges, including Susan Cox of LogoJET (an Acadiana-based business specializing in direct print solutions on various non-traditional print materials like metals, plastics, stone, rubber and textile), Tom Cox of Golfballs.com (a Louisiana-originated business offering full-service golf gear), and representatives from the LSBDC.
Five finalists will be chosen to pitch, and the winning business will win cash prizes and a Cox Business technology package valued at up to $10,000
