When you’re aiming to provide the best resources, building partnerships are the best way to go. The Louisiana Small Business Development Center (LSBDC) at ULM and the Community Certified Development Corporation (Community CDC) have partnered to bring capital resources to businesses in Northeast Louisiana. Both the LSBDC and Community CDC follow US Small Business Administration practices and aim to bring the SBA 504 Loan program to help business loans for business dreams.
Community CDC has provided low-interest, fixed-rate loans to companies throughout Texas and Louisiana. Its 504 Loan Program has helped over 200 businesses borrow over $150 million to expand their operations and create new jobs.
“We are proud to be an expert in the 504 Loan Program. Our knowledge and years of experience provide the foundation for a faster, easier financing process,” Jeanne Bergeron said, Community CDC Louisiana Business Development Director. “We bring the right people together to create a partnership whose mission is to make your business dreams come true and create a brighter economic future.”
The partnership with LSBDC at ULM just made a lot of sense for both sides. The LSBDC is the state’s largest and most accessible source of assistance for entrepreneurs and the only statewide nationally accredited program that provides business consulting to entrepreneurs at no cost. The LSBDC provides high quality one-on-one consulting, training and information resources to help businesses start, grow and succeed.
“We are excited to work with Community CDC,” Virendra Chhikara said, LSBDC at ULM Senior Business Consultant. “Their work is phenomenal and we have a lot of clients and potential clients out there who are in need of loans to support their business dreams.”
The two sides will be working together specifically on helping entrepreneurs apply for the SBA 504 Loan which is a loan used to purchase commercial real estate, construct a building or purchase long-term equipment.
