Heidi Melancon

Director

Heidi Melancon is Director with Louisiana Small Business Development Center at University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She began working for the network in 2005 and worked as a Senior Business Consultant until she took over as director in 2014.

She is responsible for consulting with clients in the areas of strategic planning, business development, financial evaluation, and marketing. In addition to her primary duties, she is the Acadiana area coordinator and for Louisiana Economic Development’s Small & Emerging Business Development Program.

She was named the 2008 Louisiana State Star for Association of Small Business Development Centers and a team member of the Small Business Development Center Service Excellence and Innovation Center Award presented by SBA in 2009. Heidi earned her MBA degree in 2000 from the B.I. Moody III College of Business at University of Louisiana at Lafayette.



Lauren Titus

Business Consultant

Lauren Titus is a Business Consultant at the Louisiana Small Business Development Center at UL Lafayette. With a background in banking and marketing, she specializes in business start-ups, access to capital, and marketing plans.

She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations from Louisiana State University.



Phillip Russo

Business Consultant

Phillip Russo is a Business Consultant specializing in strategy, research and accounting for startups and existing businesses. Prior to joining LSBDC, he worked in the financial and oil & gas industries, holding management and research positions.

He has worked in various small businesses throughout his career. Phillip is a native of Abbeville and holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.



Stacy Porter

Administrative Assistant

Stacy Porter joined the LSBDC at University of Louisiana at Lafayette in March 2012. She brings more than twenty years of professional administration experience from healthcare and government.

She is in charge of all administrative functions for the office and manages the daily operations of the team and client interaction.
